Miss Cassie-Assistant Director
Cassie is a 2005 graduate from Gregory, S.D. After high school she studied in the field of Human Services at SECC in Lincoln. After college she worked at Waverly Middle School for four years as a special education para-professional. Good thing for us she decided she wanted to be closer to her young daughter, Kristen-which lead her to our Center!
I graduated from Bishop Neumann High School in 2011. I have been in child care for going on 6 years. In 2009 I was hired by Lil' Nanas for the after school program. I was 16 years old when I started working in a child care center, but I always had a passion for babysitting. I would spend my summers and most of my free time babysitting for various families.
"I love being able to make a difference in their lives!" A 2013 graduate of Wahoo Public High School she started at Half Pints at age 16. Miss Sam brings experiences from Behaven in Elkhorn working with children with behavioral issues. What does she see herself doing in 5 years? "I want to be working at Boys Town helping kids there change their life for the better!"
"I love the kids the most. They're the best part of child care. They are fun-loving, mostly innocent, and so loveable-not to mention adorable. Whether it's been a long/testing day or it's filled with their humor-I love being a part of their lives and them being a part of mine." Julie has been involved in child care since 2009. What does she see herself doing in 5 years? "I hope to still be working in child care since it fits my personality so well. I also hope to start a family of my own and get to a higher education involving teaching."
"I love spending time with the kids. I love all the kids we have here. Each age group is something new. I love spending time with my son when I'm not working." What does she see herself doing in 5 years? "I hope to have more kids and be in school for child care."
Kelsey is a 2014 graduate and has been involved in child care for 2 years. She started with Half Pints during her senior year in high school utilizing the after school program at age 17. "I love helping the children grow and learn." What does she see herself doing in 5 years? "I hope to be working at a children's hospital."
Becky Niewohner-Dailey: Becky had been in property management for over 2 decades when she felt the desire to spend more time with her youngest child. Then an opportunity to work and be with her baby presented itself! She purchased the daycare and over the years has been able to increase enrollment, add/update programs, and work closely with the community. This has lead to a thriving center.
Becky is a transplant to the Wahoo area after living in Lincoln for almost 20 years. She wanted that small, rural community to raise her kids in the way she was raised. She's now been a Wahooligan for over 10 years. When not at the center spending time with your children, she enjoys spending time with her own kids.
